THE PARIS PROPOSAL.

It was Thanksgiving and Dallin and I decided to fly to Utah to spend Thanksgiving with his family which was so much fun. Dallin and I had talked about getting married for a while and I was looking for every possibility that he would be proposing. We had attended the Lantern Festival a few weeks prior and I was CONVINCED he was proposing there. But, he didn’t. So i was so confused when it was going to happen.  If you know me, you know Paris is one of my most FAVORITE places in the world. I had visited a couple times in the past! I was invited to attend the Victorias Secret Fashion Show and I was BEYOND ecstatic to attend. My flight left the day after Thanksgiving and I was flying to meet my mom and little sister in LA and from LA we would fly to Paris. Dallin dropped me off at the airport the next morning and i was SO SAD to leave him because I would be gone for a while. I was tearing up in the airport as he dropped me off. I remember hugging him goodbye and going through security and he was just standing on the other side smiling and waving goodbye to me. I sat and waited at my gate and then I boarded my plane and started my journey to Paris. The flight was 10 hours and I could hardly sleep because Dallin was running through my mind. I kept thinking about what a wonderful Thanksgiving we had and how I wished so badly he could come to paris with me.

We arrived in Paris early in the morning and when we arrived to our hotel we discovered that our hotel wasn’t quite ready for us yet! So we went and wandered the streets of Paris. We stopped at a little Cafe and ordered (my favorite) chocolate croissants. My mom suggested that we go and get our nails done (because my nails were chipped and gross because I have a bad habit of peeling my Gel polish off) so we walked around in search of a nail place. I have to admit, I was tired, and a little cranky. I felt really jet lagged and just wanted to get some sleep. PLUS I was really cold so that made things even worse. NOTHING WAS OPEN. we walked for hours in search of a nail place and we couldn’t find anything. My mom REALLY wanted to find a nail place for some reason and I couldn’t understand why! I kept telling her we should just go back and see if the hotel was ready but she insisted that we get our nails done! We finally found a place that was open! HALLELUJAH. I usually paint my nails pink or blue but for some reason I decided to paint my nails…BLACK. Shortly after we got our nails done we headed back to the hotel. My mom was full of energy. She suggested that we should go to the Eiffel Tower and take some pictures of the three of us together. I was SO TIRED at this point that for some reason I said ahhhh lets just take a nap! (What was I thinking) My mom was like okay take a little power nap and we will go later! I agreed. I took a shower and fell asleep.

My mom woke me up an hour later and was like BELLA WAKE UP! The sun is going to go down we have to hurry to the Eiffel Tower! At this point i was convinced I was NOT going to go so i told her she should just go by herself. She wouldn’t take no for an answer and after a few minutes of convincing I decided to just get up and try to make myself look decent. My hair was soaking wet and my eyes were puffy and I was tired. I was texting Dallin and he was telling me how awesome it was in Utah and how he was snowboarding so he wouldn’t have service for much longer. I was so happy that he was busy and out snowboarding and having fun with his friends. 30 minutes later I was ready and we took an Uber down the Trocadero (A viewing point of the eiffel tower). When we got there it was PACKED. There were so many people there it was a zoo! I was searching for a spot to place my tripod so we could take some pictures of the three of us and every spot I went to i didn’t like. So I was wandering around and my mom was chasing me and telling me to just settle on a spot! I finally picked a spot and asked my mom to test the lighting on my camera by taking a few photos of me. She started taking some pictures of me. I felt someone grab me from behind and it startled me a little bit. When I turned around Dallin was standing there smiling and my heart stopped. I knew exactly what was about to happen. My voice was shaky and my heart was pounding. He got down on one knee and popped the question and showed me the most beautiful ring I had ever seen and I was just speechless. It felt like I was in a dream! I didn’t know if it was real or not. I of course said YES! The best part is he told me he would be in Paris with me for the week so we could spend some time together!

We took some pictures together and that was the happiest I had ever felt in my life. My heart was just light as a feather and my smile didn’t leave my face. After we left the Eiffel tower we went to get some food at an Italian restaurant and the food was incredible but the company was better. The Paris trip was a dream come true. Being engaged to the love of my life was a dream come true. Life is amazing.

Shoutout to my buddy Nathan Lata for flying to paris to film our engagement. The video is priceless to me and I am so happy we have it.
