San Fransisco was a trip I will never forget. From biking across the Golden Gate Bridge, to driving a mini car around the city, the memories we made in just 48 hours were PRICELESS. It all started when we arrived at our hotel. We entered the hotel and there was a really weird vibe. It was very dark and heavy. When we went to the check- in desk no one was there to greet us and no one was even in the lobby. It was empty. The entire hotel had a very dark renaissance look and it smelt really old…like the smell of an old book store. Finally a man came to the counter and told us he already had us checked in! It was almost like he was waiting for us to arrive. He pointed us in the direction of our room and we looked at each other and just laughed because we felt like we were being pranked. NO ONE was in the hotel? We couldn’t be the only ones right? We took the staircase to our room…YES I SAID STAIRCASE. When we got upstairs there was a long hallway we walked down to get to our room. Weirdly enough, some of the rooms had wooden boards hammered over the doors. We entered our room and it looked like something out of a horror film. I was terrified. I couldn’t believe this was even happening! I looked at Dallin and told him we definitely couldn’t stay here. He quickly found us another hotel and we literally RAN out the doors as fast as we could and drove away!
The rest of our trip was incredible. We were only there for a short time so we wanted to make the most of it. It was such an adventure. It ended with us taking an Uber to the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge to find a small cove on the beach where we found a little rope swing. It was magical. San Fran will always have a little piece of my heart. I can’t wait to go back and make more memories!
